Ladakh is open for tourists throughout the year, while the best period for the cultural tour is between April and October ending. For adventure tours June to October is the suitable period. Most of the trekking routes are closed after November due to snow at high passes except the Liker to Khaltsey trek. The best period for Chadar-trek (frozen river trek) to Zanskar is from January to mid-March.
The festivals of Stok, Matho and New Year take place in winter and it is possible to visit monasteries in winters. There are few hotels and guest houses with heating facilities in Leh that provide accommodation in winter
On arrival met at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Early morning transfer to Domestic Airport to board flight for Leh. On arrival you are received and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon visit Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa. Overnight at hotel.
After an early start from Leh, we will travel by jeep to Spituk, You will meet your Trekking team and Horses here at Spituk. After 3 hours walk you will reach to Zingchan. You will camp at Zingchan. It is a beautiful village with only two houses surrounded by poplar and willow trees.
Today we will enter Hemis National Park, where we may be fortunate enough to get a glimpse of wild lives as diverse as the snow leopard, lynx, Ladakhi Urial (a type of goat), Arghali (great Tibetan sheep), blue sheep, red fox, Tibetan wolf, Dhole (wild dog), Marmot and mountain Hare. We will climb gradually through a beautiful gorge that will unveil the imposing Stok Range from time to time. We will continue Trek through Rumbak, and pass by the house of Yurutse village, before reaching camp at the base of Ganda La (4545m). From our campsite, we can see a spectacular view of Stok Kangri and the whole of the Stok range.
After a light breakfast, we will begin our 2-hr ascend to Ganda La; views of the lofty Zanskar and Stok Ranges will leave you breathless. The usual chorten and prayer flags mark the top of the pass. After a short rest, we will make a gradual hour-long descend to Shingo village and break for picnic lunch. We will finish the day by hiking through a spectacular gorge before pitching camp at Skiu (3300m). Within this idyllic village lie an old monastery and ruins and an old castle.
Following the Markha River, we will hike through the lovely valley on a plain trail.Enjoy your picnic lunch at Sara where a lonely house and a tent tea house is a lovely spot for your lunch.The trail goes further crossing the Markha river at few points and reach to Markha, the largest village in the valley, consisting of around 20 houses, an old monastery and a ruined fort. Over night in tent.
The Markha valley trail continues passing through old stone-mills, and crossing the Markha river several times you will reached to a ruined castle and the beautiful monastery of Techa, which is beautifully perched on a towering cliff that looms above Markha. A short trek from Techa will greet you at Umlung at a cliff off the trail.l Trek further to reach Thachungtse passing through Hankar village with an old ruined fort.Overnight in tent.
Today the trail will lead us up to the beautiful plateau of Nimaling, where the people of the Markha Valley brings their herds to graze during the summer months. At 4700m, Nimaling is the highest camp on the trek, giving us spectacular views of Kang Yatse to the right, the Zangskar Range and the Markha Valley below.Nimaling is famous for the Local Amchi to collect their Medicinal herbs.

Morning after breakfast an easy trek through the road will lead you to Martselang village. Here your treks end and you will be picked up by jeep. Drive to Hemis monastery the largest monastery of Ladakh. On way back to Leh also visit Thiksay monastery. Overnight at Hotel.
Visit Spituk monastery and Stok palace and museum. Afternoon free for leisure.
Transer to airport to board flight for Delhi. Tour end.
