Overview
Ladakh is open for tourists throughout the year, while the best period for the cultural tour is between April and October ending. For adventure tours June to October is the suitable period. Most of the trekking routes are closed after November due to snow at high passes except the Liker to Khaltsey trek. The best period for Chadar-trek (frozen river trek) to Zanskar is from January to mid-March.
The festivals of Stok, Matho and New Year take place in winter and it is possible to visit monasteries in winters. There are few hotels and guest houses with heating facilities in Leh that provide accommodation in winter

Day 2 Delhi - Lucknow - BalrampurBalrampur
After breakfast transfer to airport for your domestic flight for Lucknow. Drive from Lucknow airport to Balrampur. On arrival check - in hotel for late lunch. Later proceed to Sravasti, where Buddha confounded his non believers by series of miraculous feats. Return to Balrampur for overnight stay

Day 3 Balrampur - LumbiniLumbini
Morning drive to lumbini the birth place of Lord Buddha. At the ancient Lumbini shrine, an image representing the natives of Buddha is still preserved. Overnight in hotel.

Day 4 Lumbini - KushinagarKushinagar
Morning drive to Kushinagar where lord Buddha attained Pariniravana. Visit to Rambha stupa which marks the spot where the lord was cremated. Overnight in hotel.

Day 5 Kushinagar - PatnaPatna
Proceed to patna en-route visit vaishali where lord Buddha is reported to have recounted his approaching nirawana and also the site of the second Buddhist council. Overnight in hotel.

Day 6 Patna - BodhgayaBodhgaya
Drive to bodhgaya, en-route visit to Nalanda, where an ancient monastic university flourished from 5th-11th century. Lord Buddha himself taught here. Later proceed to visit Rajgir (or the royal abode) where Lord Buddha

Bodhgaya the greatest pilgrim center for Buddhist where Lord Buddha gained enlightenment under the Mahabodhi tree. The Mahabodhi temple marks the exact spot where Buddha sat in meditation. Overnight in hotel

Day 8 Bodhgaya - VaranasiVaranasi
Morning drive to varanasi the holy city of the hindus. On arrival check-in hotel. Evening drive to Sarnath where Lord Buddha is said to have preached his first sermon. Sarnath was a famous centre for Buddhist learning from the 6th-12th Century. Visit to the stupa and Buddhist temple, the interior of which Is richly decorated. Return to varanasi for overnight in hotel.

Day 9 Varanasi - DelhiDelhi
Early morning boat rides on river Ganges to witness the sunrise and early morning prayers. Return to hotel via different ghats. Later transfer to airport for flight / to railway station for train to Delhi. Agra. On arrival transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
